"A rifle is fired in a valley with parallel vertical walls. The echo from ne wall is heard 2 s after the rifle was fired. The echo from the other wall is heard 2 s after the first echo. How wide is the valley?"

Alright, this is generally an easy question. Let's assume the speed of sound in the valley is 343.2 m/s. To find the width of the valley: 2(343.2)=686.4 m.
