y=-3x2-6x+2 trying to find the x intercept

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So firstly you now the meaning of x-intercept?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, I've determined the vertex. but for some reason am stumped on the x intercept

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@mj2378 x-intercept is any point where the value of y equals 0. i.e. x-intercept is any point on x-axis (the way y-intercept is any point on y-axis :P) so 0 = -3x2-6x+2 or 3x2+6x-2 = 0 u can solve :)

thank you
