How do you do this? I don't understand the question. The figure below shows a circular prop with two triangles labeled ABC and AOC made on it. The center of the prop is labeled O. What is the area of the cloth required to make the circular prop?
These are the only possible answers.
12.56 ft2 3.14 ft2 6.28 ft2 10.32 ft2

Ok this is a bit long question. so 1stly <ABC = 45 Hence <AOC would be 90, correct ?
Right.
Yes. so now in Triangle AOC, One angle is 90. and actually <OAC = <OCA since both are equal angles opposite equal radii. So u can use pythagoras theorem now. R^2 + R^2 = 2^2 (2 feet is the hypotenuse) so what would R be now?
or if u can't find R, at least u can tell value of R^2?
R=1
I have no idea what you just said.
Ok. Is it true that, if u use pythagoras theorem, OA^2 + OC^2 = AC^2 since <AOC = 90 ?
@__@ Okay, I seriously have no idea what you're saying.
Ok i'll explain frm scratch. Is this true ? |dw:1367556321421:dw|
