is every quadrilateral is a parallelgram?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes they are. This is because a quadrilateral has 4 sides: 2 opposite from each other and another 2 opposite from each other. Indeed, not all side will be parallel but there will always be a parallel pair.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no,because in a parallelogram opposite sides are equal and parallel quadrilateral may or may not have above property.

Opposite sides don't have to be equal.. A square is a quadrilateral and it a parallelogram and every side of the square is equal to the opposite just like a rectangle and rhombus

OpenStudy (anonymous):

square has opposite sides equal & parralel & hence a parallelogram. A quadrilateral has many forms: trapezoid, parallelogram, square, rectangle, rhombus etc. square, rectangle, rhombus are parallelograms with additional properties.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A quadrilateral with all four unequal sides is not a parallelogram.
