How do I factor 7b^2 + 42b

OpenStudy (ryan123345):

what can you pull out of the equation that both have?

OpenStudy (ryan123345):

cough cough* 7b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7b^2 + 42b here.. take out the common in both. like..7 is there and 7X6=42 so.. 7b (b + 6) such that if you just multiply .. you can "7b^2 + 42b"
