How do I cite video game characters?

This is great. Depending on your citation style, you would cite the entire game:

MLA: Computer software or video game List the developer or author of the software (if any); the title, italicized; the distributor and date of publication; and the platform or medium.

Firaxis Games. Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution. Take-Two Interactive, 2008. Xbox 360.

APA: Computer software or video game Add the words “Computer software” (neither italicized nor in quotation marks) in brackets after the title of the program.

Sims 2 [Computer software]. (2005). New York, NY: Maxis.
