If Earth is really going fast , why doesn’t the planet fly out of its orbit into space?

gravity. We are actually in the gravitational field of the Sun - that's why we don't fly off into space. We also have a velocity going around the Sun, which over the years has balanced perfectly between velocity and gravity to the point which the orbit is stable.

it is due to the centripetal force between the sun and the earth which binds us to the orbit.think of it as a stone tied to a string and you rotate it around.it won't run away will it?here the string in our case is the gravitational pull of the sun.which binds the earth
