In my book I have the question "How much less than (-8) is (-3) ?" Is the question correct because -3 is greater than -8 so......

oh tht way. when they say how much less than X is Y; then u do X - Y. @HappySoul Yes thats correct. Hence, -3 is less than -8 by -5 units.
