$$\frac{ 7.2\times10^{9} }{4.8\times10^{4} }=\frac{ 7.2 }{ 4.8 }\times \frac{ 10^{9} }{ 10^{4} }=\frac{ 3\times2.4 }{ 2\times2.4}\times10^{9-4}=\frac{ 3 }{ 2}\times10^{5}$$
