They joined the war effort on the side of the Allies because they thought it would bring them independence after the war.” What nation or people does this sentence describe? China and Japan Australia and New Zealand Communist supporters in Russia African colonies of France and Britain
There are 2 criteria here for the answer. 1. They have to have joined the Allies 2. They have to have somehow wanted freedom (aka they were not free) Based on that, can you eliminate any of the answers? @sumsumjoe
What do you think the answer is? @sumsumjoe
c
No.
Think harder. I will give you a hint it is not a or c.
b
Remember that Russia did NOT join the allies. Do you know which countries were part of the Allies?
Yes, it is B because at the time of World War 2 the British had a huge empire with lands of the British wanting to become independent. @sumsumjoe
Oh rlly? I was thinking d because of the colonies ...
Do you have any more questions relating to World War 2? @sumsumjoe
Why isn't it d, @Comm.Dan ?
Because there was the North African campaign and those countries later would get independence. Also, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand sent the most amount of troops to fight in World War 2, so that is part of how they got their independence from Britain. @stormgirl47
Oh ok. Cool. Thanks for explaining :)
