That depends on what kind of antibiotic you're using
There are beta-lactam antibiotic which inhibit cell wall biosynthesis. You also have aminoglycosides which inhibit protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosome. There also are antibiotics who inhibit synthesis of essential metabolites or prevent DNA replication. I added an image of different about the function of different antibiotics.
