what is the vector function that models the behavior

OpenStudy (anonymous):

last two questions...cant understand

OpenStudy (phi):

Didn't you already do this ? you have a sin t that you want to rotate faster to make it rotate twice as fast, use sin(2t) (and cos(2t) ) and keep everything else the same.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya but last 2

OpenStudy (phi):

as I remember, in the first part, the hoop has a diameter of 2, and a radius of 1 for the next part, I think you want a hoop with 1/2 the diameter, so its mark hits the floor twice as often. that means its radius will be 1/2 and its diameter 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so whats the answer for d?

OpenStudy (phi):

r=(t- 0.5*sin(2t) ) i + (0.5 - 0.5 cos(2 t)) j

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that d???

OpenStudy (phi):

I think so

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya i gatcyu...so how should i graph that ???

OpenStudy (phi):

I don't know what graphing tools you have.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know upto here but how to plot themm
