Lines f and g are perpendicular. If the slope of line f is 4, what is the slope if g? A. 4 B. -4 C. 1/4 D. -1/4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the concept is that products of slopes of two perpendicular lines is -1. Now slope of F = 4. And slope of F X slope of G = -1. So 4 x slope of G = -1. hence slope of G would be - ?

OpenStudy (karatechopper):

Perpendicular slopes are the negative reciprocal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so -4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no it would be -1/4.
