For this linear graph you only really need 2 points: y when x = 0 and x when y = 0. |dw:1367737896827:dw| we have the points (0,5) and (5/3, 0)
if you are sure which region is inside the inequality you could try substituting in a point, and test if the point satisfies the inequality say try the point (0,0) does the origin satisfy? \[-y<3x-5\] is \[-(0)<3(0)-5\]?
since there is the < sign the area of concern is below the line. y is always less than. |dw:1367738422581:dw|
