\[x=e^t~\Rightarrow~t=\ln x\] Substituting into \(y\), you have \[y=e^{3t}+1\\ y=e^{3\ln x}+1\\ y=\left(e^{\ln x}\right)^3+1\\ y=\cdots\]
3x+1?
\[\Large y=e ^{3t}+1 = (e^t)^3 +1 \] Notice the thing in brackets looks a lot like... \[\Large x = e^t\]
