In the figure, what is the value of z? A. 2.9 B. 5.6 C. 6 D. 8.75
help please.
Make them triangles, you then have similar triangles and can use a variety of ways to calculate the other leg.
I don't know how to do it.
Can anyone help me with this one and one more?
|dw:1367858068758:dw| What is the topic of this particular section in your book, that will give you hints on how to approach it.
I'm really not understanding it..I'm not good at this stuff at all.
It looks to me as if you are working on similar triangles, which would mean that the ratio of one is equal to the ratio of another. If that is the case, then you know that \[\frac{4}{5}=\frac{7}{z}\] and you simply solve for z.
I got 8.75! Thanks!
Could you help me with two more?
I can give it a try.
