What is the area of a circle with a diameter of 19 meters?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well what is the formula for area of a circle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A= Pi * R * R

OpenStudy (anonymous):

otherwise known as pi times r squared... the radius is half of the diameter...so in this case what is the radius

OpenStudy (anonymous):

9.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so now multiply 9.5 by itself and you get r squared

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and then multiply the product of 9.5 times itself by 3.14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh! hahaha thanks for the help ^.^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can i get a medal :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yay thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I gave you one :P
