When the temperature is 68°F, the speed of sound in air is approximately 343 meters per second. Approximately how many kilometers does sound travel in

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would 343 meters / second = 0.343 kilometers / second help at all?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you so if I were to come across this question again I have to divide the temperature by the meters?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Uhh.... I don't think so to be honest, I'm assuming they're asking how far the sound traveled if it was going 343 meters per second. But that sounds like a dumb question on their part because they never specified the amount of seconds or anything, so I'm not entirely sure, sorry. :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's fine & I agree they did not specify the question clearly. but thank you anyways :)

No problem! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask! Have a wonderful day. :)
