Explain the purpose of FDR's New Deal and it's accomplishments.

The purpose was to give the economy a boost. It's major accomplishment though was to keep us stuck in the Great Depression for years longer while the rest of the world was already recovering and out of their depressions.

The second new deal was a continuation and expansion of the original new deal program. The Second new deal went much further in terms of direct government involvement and aid. Because of this the outcome was the social security act and the housing authority.(more; those were a few) and those two programs are still in action today.
