Write and simplify the polynomial represented by the model. 1 hundreds block, 5 tens block, 4 ones block A. –x^3 + 2x^2 – 3x + 2 B. x^2 + x – 2 C. –x^2 – x + 2 D. –x^2 + x – 2

OpenStudy (nottim):

What do you mean by blocks?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

blocks for the problem

OpenStudy (nottim):

by simplify, does it mean put in this form: (x-3)(x-3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i half to simplify the polynomial represented by the blocks. my answer choices are a,b,c,d

OpenStudy (nottim):

I actually cannot think of any way to relate those blocks to polynomials. You got anything?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no that why i am asking for help

OpenStudy (nottim):

Maybe the hundred blocks represent values with a power of 3 or 2, the tens block represent values with an exponent of 2 or 1, and ones blocks represent values with an exponent of 1 or no variables.

Or, if I sound completely stupid or like gibberish, http://www.crewtonramoneshouseofmath.com/factoring-polynomials.html

OpenStudy (nottim):

its bit of a read, so try to skim to the important parts. Sorry that I don't have any quicker solutions.
