Really need the answer! Find parametric equations for the curve y = x + 1, x ≥ 0, by using as parameter the distance of the point (x,y) from the origin.

OpenStudy (sirm3d):

put \(x=t\), \(y=1+t\) let \(s\) be the distance between \((0,0)\) and \((x,y)=(t,1+t)\) solve \(t\) in terms of \(s\), then sub the expression in the equation for \(x\) and \(y\).
