So my friend and I are doing an act at the talent show. We are doing a dance performance to a dubstep track called "Holy Ghost" (Sluggo and Helicopter Showdown Remix). Our costumes consist of contrasting full body suits. His is black and mine is white. Face masks included. The theme of the act is Schizophrenia. We are supposed to represent two opposite sides of a person's consciousness, who are always at war for dominance. We will be transitioning spotlight throughout the act until the end, when the two sides begin to work together. If anyone has any feedback, please post it. Also, for anyone interested, we can send a YouTube link for the video when it is finished so that you can see how it went.

@KeganMoore Kyle thought the Spy vs Spy was good, but then he kinda branched off and came up with this. :P As for consciousness, it's just to represent a person's mindset. The two types of personality that the person has.

Yep. We had some ideas for the lighting (Strobe lights, black light, etc) but the school apparently didn't have the budget for it. :P

i have helped on a lot of stage performances from Cadet Ceremonies for JROTC to the Military Ball for teh Gary Owen unit here on Fort Hood

@Hope_nicole Well, we thought about four seconds on this subject and we got some ideas, but they're really vague. My thoughts are that as the song starts, we would both be completely still. During the intro, he would begin to move slowly as I still stood for a bit, portraying the...not trying to sound racist here but uh...the black dominance of personality. Then I would begin to move as well. We will be moving as if we are trying to attack at each other for dominance over the person. When the first drop hits, He will stop and move backward as I take stage and do my solo. Then as the pitch raises I would move to his position and he would take over and do his solo. Then it would go back to basic movement until the second drop, where we do what we call a "power transition." Then at the end we would go back to simple movement, but this time in synch.

Did you think about maybe in the middle when you guys are fighting over dominance to have one of you or both of you half way through that actually taking control showing that one side is weaker than the other for various reasons?

well you could be fighting and then have whichever one you want to be weaker like fall to the ground and then have the other person act like they are lifting them up and kinda be like a puppet of what the other one shows them to do.

Good. We've tried dancing to an actual fight, and it was REALLY hard to pull off. We can try though, no doubt.

OMG IDEA! okay so you could start out on opposite sides, and then likemove in and start the fighting, and have you be the one who loses right and so then you turn into a puppet type thing following what your partner shows you to do and then your solo comes and your solo is the idea that you broke free and got strong again and taking your own path.

Well in that case, the end could be a a crossfade. He could take dominance in the beginning, but instead of learning to work together in the end, the purity (white) takes over and rules the person!

yeah like since your solo would be the white regaining their life and control then have it at the end you two like walk towards each other and do something simple like you put your hand out and have him do the same showing hes mirroring you now
