Can someone please tell me if I did this correct? Your piggy bank has a total of 46 coins in it; some are dimes and some are quarters. If you have a total of $7.00, how many quarters and how many dimes do you have? A quarter is valued at 25 cents each and the dimes are valued at 10 cents each. If the 46 coins have a total value of $7.00 then: Number of quarters = x, and the balance is (46 - x), this will be the dimes in coins. So the equation will be 25(x) + 10 (46 - x) = 700 25x + 460 - 10x = 700 15x = 240 x = 16 So the answer is that there will be 16 quarters and 30 dimes
