Find the product: (x + 5)(x − 5) x2 + 25 x2 − 25 x2 − 10 x2 − 5
what does 5*5 equal and x*x?
25? but how does that even relate
Thats just how I do it but I could teach you if you want.
i think it x2-10
Nooooo you are way off
mkay so you know the answer?
ok sure how does it work?
i thought you used keep flip change on these problems.... i just was at a class for this but i could be wrong
Basically for x² - 25 (the answer) you need to find the factors of both, for 25 it is 5 and for x² it is X thus you get (x+5)(x-5)
like a number that both can be multiplied on?
jen do you go to connections?
^no
No that is GCF since there is no GCF you find the individual factors
individual factors? what does that mean?
BTW I am not a good teacher I just know how to do it :/
Its okay, i have a huge exam coming up and i know close to nothing about math, im just trying really hard to understand it.
factors are 2 numbers that multiply to a certain number
ok im afraid im not much help when it comes to math so ill be off then good luck :D
Oh okayy. So here i was supposed to find a factor that could be multiplied by 5?
nono here you are supposed to find what (x+5) and (x-5) multiply to
Sorry I took so long I lagged hard, anyways one sec I am almost done.
