why is 3/4 a raational number and a real number but not an integer?

OpenStudy (chriss):

A real number is any number that can be expressed on a number line. An integer is any whole number positive or negative. A rational number is any number that can be expressed as a fraction of two integers. 3 and 4 are both integers so 3/4 is rational. Pi cannot be expressed accurately as a fraction of two integers so it is an example of a number that is not rational.
