could I have your guys opinion on something

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why do you think that so many different styles developed in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it is because people got tired of the same old music they had before and they came up with something new and more interesting to listen to. Kind of like when people made the dances and changed up the rules

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Eh - not so much. A big contribution to musical development is the advancements in science and technology. Things like amps and electric music opened up more varieties and style. Also, over time, music progresses. What was considered rock in the 1920s would be considered slow ballad music nowadays. Everyone wants to one-up the audience. The musicians people listen to as children influence them to make music. They want to be bigger and better, it's natural human instinct. I would not agree that it's because 'we got bored,' but it was a natural development of musical evolution.
