Is anyone really good at log???? Please let me know now!!:)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

you really should post an actual problem that you might need help on ....

OpenStudy (amistre64):

hmmm, thats saying that 4^x = 32

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nevermind

OpenStudy (amistre64):

4 = 2^2; 32 = 2^5 \[2^{2x}=2^{5}~;~ 2x=5\]is what my first idea is

OpenStudy (amistre64):

\[log_4(32)\] \[\frac{log_2(32)}{log_2(4)}\] \[\frac{5}{2}\] same same

OpenStudy (amistre64):

\[log_4(32)\] \[log_4(4*4*2)\] \[log_4(4)+log_4(4)+log_4(2)\] \[1+1+\frac12=\frac52\]

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i would log 25 each side

OpenStudy (amistre64):

25^x-2=125 log_25(25^x-2)=log_25(125) (x-2) log_25(25)=log_25(125) x-2 =log_25(25*5) x-2 =log_25(25) + log_25(5) x-2 = 1 + 1/2 x = 2 + 1 + 1/2
