can you give me more plz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

uhh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im not a history buff, but from a personal perspective, I would not like to be a slave because slavery means that you do not have control over your own body. Humans have the right to have control over their body. It is not a possession for others to trade and abuse.

Because all men are created equal, and no man should be treated like an animal or be held against his will to work without a wage.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you refer to the time of US civil war, slaves were freed with the 13th amendment made in the constitution because the southern agricultural capitalists made use of slavery in the production which reduced significantly the cost of production and the significance of wage labor in the north and Northern industrialists wanted slaves to migrate in large numbers to the north so that they would reduce the wages in the market. We can understand from that slaves were seen as tools to serve the interest of the relatively powerful individuals and they were not given the value of human. At that time, there were also significant humanitarian movements against the use of slavery in the southern states, thus slavery eventually came to an end.
