OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do I determine whether the given test point is a solution to the linear inequality? Thanks! (0, 0), y > 2

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Our coordinate point is of the form \(\large (x,y)\) and they told us this point is specifically, \(\large (0,0)\). So we're concerned with the point on the graph which is, \(\large x=0\) \(\large y=0\) Only part of that information is actually relevant to us. Plug the relevant part into your inequality function, and see if the inequality holds true! :)
