helpppppppppppppppppppppp plz
In at least 3 Spanish sentences, using the link below, write directions on how to get from Barajas Airport to central Madrid at Sol.
Do you need to use any particular structure learned in class, or have you been given the freedom to write the 3 sentences as you wish, as long as it is understandable, correct Spanish? (that was one long question!)
they just have to be 3 of my own choices but but i have to use the map can you help me
Sure! Any ideas to begin with? Or do you prefer me to go for it?
no clue
Well, let's begin with the very basics then! It's obvious that the first thing we need is to find our way using the map... We need to go from the airport station (that'd be 'AEROPUERTO' on line 8) to 'SOL' (lines 1,2,3). This is what I'd do: -Take line 8 southbound (Nuevos Ministerios-bound) at 'AEROPUERTO' and get off at 'NUEVOS MINISTERIOS'. -Then change trains and take line 10 southbound (Puerta del Sur-bound) and get off at 'TRIBUNAL'. -Finally, change trains again and take line 1 southbound (Congosto-bound) and get off at 'SOL'. Now there are a few ways (from more formal to less formal) in which you could translate these directions into Spanish. I'm gonna go with the not too formal one (the "You need to..." structure). Let me know if you have any problems understanding what each sentence says:
Tienes que tomar/coger la línea 8 en dirección a Nuevos Ministerios y bajar al final de la línea. En Nuevos Ministerios, tienes que cambiar de tren y tomar/coger la línea 10 en dirección Puerta del Sur hasta la estación de Tribunal. Finalmente, tienes que cambiar de tren y tomar/coger la línea 1 en dirección Congosto hasta la estación de Sol.
Now change "tienes" for "tiene" to make it more formal if you wish... And feel free to use "tomar" and "coger" interchangeably. As a speaker of Spanish from Spain, I'd say "coger" myself, but I know how these word might have 'funny' meanings in some varieties of South American Spanish, so it's completely up to you. I hope that helps!
ohh my lord
now take it easy! :) And again, let me know with any problems you might have understanding what I wrote, or even if you need to further simplifly the whole thing.
