Find and simplify the 4th term: (2x^2-3y^2)^6

OpenStudy (raden):

actually, it is 6C3 (2x^2)^(6-3) * (-3y^2)3 then simplify .....

OpenStudy (raden):

do u know about combination ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i do, it relates to using the pascal triangle too right?

OpenStudy (raden):

yes, that will works too

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but in the way youre showing me: 6C3 (2x^2)^(6-3) * (-3y^2)3 looks way easier. all i would need to do is simplify (2x^2)^(6-3) * (-3y^2)3 , and thatd be my answer?

OpenStudy (raden):

yup, first, calculate for 6C3 use the formula nCr = n!/(r!(n-r)!) in this case known that n = 6 and r = 3

OpenStudy (raden):

u know the factorial, isnt it ?
