Usually the U.S. State Department has good information on this kind of stuff. I would recommend doing a google search with your topic and "Department of State." this should give you a good springboard to go off of. I don't think you will find any one on openstudy who is really knowledgeable about this stuff so looking through professional sources would be your best answer.
