....


What we want is 3:16 as it is after 3pm
now if the trip time was 30 min then you should just divide by 2 to see at which time he went out.

3.16 - 0.15  = 3.01 pm
3.16 + 0.15 = 3.31 pm

he went out at 3.01 and came home at 3.31
