expand (2x-1)^5
calculate (2x-1)^5
( 2x - 3y )4 = (2x)4 + 4(2x)3(-3y) + 6(2x)2(-3y)2 + 4(2x)(-3y)3 + (-3y)4
32x^5 - 80x^4 + 80x^3 - 40x^2 +10x - 1
10x - 5 because: you multiply the numbers inside the parenthesis by the exponent of 5 so, 2x multiplied by 5 is 10x and -1 by 5 to get -5...
binomial theory, or binomial expansion i forget what it is called.
this is just a busy work problem. MrSensitive has the right answer. @giulsvalentini do you know how to do it or do you need us to explain it to you?
I have to use the Triangolo di Trataglia, di you know it? sorry for my English, I'm Italian :) @Peter14
Pascal's triangle? yes, I know it
so I have to apply th formule of the development of i don't know do you say power (a^n)?
http://www.mathsisfun.com/algebra/binomial-theorem.html it's the binomial theorem.
exactly! @timo86m
link explains it very well.
if you don't know how to say something in english say it in italian. I know spanish so I could understand, and if I don't there's always google translate
I think today I won't do my math's homeworks.
Thank you @timo86m
