OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ciara_xo It's C. Do you need the solution? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure that'd be nice !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have a question w. the same diagram but its asking the length for PR..the choices are 7 , 19.799 , 24.249 , 28

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you wouldnt mind helping w. that too.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ciara_xo You need to remember to formulas if you're dealing with a 30-60-90 triangle.\[c=2a\]\[b=a ^{3}\]|dw:1368024353868:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean PQ*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For the second question, since you know that PR is C in the diagram I drew and c=2a, 2 x 14 = 28. 28 is the answer. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

PQ is \[14\sqrt{3}\] and in decimal, that is 24.249. That's the answer.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

hmm i am getting PR = 28

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait im confused

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

|dw:1368024709639:dw|

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

sin 30 = 14/PR PR = 14/sin 30 = 14/1/2 = 28

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

check if we have setup the 30-60-90 triangle correctly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's alright not to use trigonometry. It's a special triangle after all. :)

@ciara_xo What part are you confused?
