@ChipperJay* Need ya!

The first Q is REALLY easy. Anybody can do that. YOu use F + V = E + 2. F + 10 = 29 + 2 What's F? It's 21. The correct answer is B :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The second is pentagon. What's the shaded Figure in the cube? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(I had pentagon. :P)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Finding the Surface Area bug me. I don't feel like answering those Qs lol. But I may help you with finding the volumes. They're much easier for me. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(I can't do lateral surface area... :( hard...)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know. It was frustrating. As soon as I finished my test, I erased it out of my brain. I can't remember how I solved the SA.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Aww.. :(

Okay, for number 7, here's how I'd solve it: I find the area of the bas eof the prism, B = 1/2 bh Then I multiply that with the hieght to get the volume. V = Bh I got 2291.503218. So A is thecorrect choice for 7. Do you want the explaination, or did u only want the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Both were good. I'm reading all of your comments. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Geez. U posted alot of pics. I don't know which to click on LOL. For 11, you use this formula, V = 1/3 pi * r2 * h Substitute = 1/3(3.14) * 9^2 * 17 I got 1441.991028. Estimating, the answer for that question is choice B.

For 12, the first step is to find the radius. We on;y kno the circumference, so we'll use the formla for it, which is C = 2 * pi * r Substitute = 155/(2*3.14) The radius is about 24.66. (Use a Calc., for problems like this) Now we'll find the SA, the formula is SA = 4 * pi * r^2. Substitute = 4 * pi * 24.66^2 I got the answer 7647.395016. When estimated, the answer is A. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I kind of rushed, so I apologize if it is confusing.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Makes sense. Steps show. :) Find radius, how to, calc, find SA, formula... is all good Jay.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I usually explain better, but I'm glad u understood! :D OKay, 14 is really easy. Here's my way of solving this: 8.5/13.6 is 0.625 2.4/3.84 is 0.625 Since both have same answers, it is proportional. So yes, they are similar :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry, I should have been able to do that on my own.. XD Thanks anyways.

Final one, Work Pad. (I would like if you did all the problems I posted. :D )

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For qestion 23, (a) To find the volume of the cylinder, use this formula, V = pi*r^2*h. The radius of the ball is 6.5 ( I split the diameter in half). The height is 13 * 3 = 39 cm (since there are three balls in the cylinder) Substitute and solve: V = pi*r^2*h V = pi*(6.5)^2(39) V ≈ 5177 (I used a Calc.) The volume ofthe cylinder is about 5177 cm^3. (b) To find the volume of a sphere, use this formula, V = 4/3 * pi * r^3 First, I'll solve for one sphere, then I'll multiply the answer by three, because we need to find the volume of ALL THREE balls. Substitute and solve V = 4/3*pi* r^3 V = 4/3*pi*(6.5)^3 V ≈ 1150 (I used a calc.) Now I multiply that with three to get the volume of ALL THREE balls, 3 * 1150 cm^3 = 3,450 cm^3. (c) Yay! this one's easy. To find the percent of this, we need to write a fraction with the volume of the balls as the numerator (TOP) and the volume of the cylinder as the denominator (BOTTOM). 3450/5177 is about 67%. AAAND done with this Q!!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you. Thank you. **TaKeS A BoW** Here' how I'd solve for 22: For question 22: To find the volume of this lovely dollhouse, we must split the figure in half. Find the volume of the rectangular prism and the pyramid separately. We then add them together to get the answer. The volume of the prism is: V = Bh Substitute and simplify V = (2.5 * 3)(2) V = 15 Volume of the pyramid is: V = 1/3Bh V = 1/3 (2.5*3)(1.5) V = 3.75 Now we add the volumes together to get the answer. The total volume of the rockin' dollhouse is 15 ft^3 + 3.75 ft^3 = 18.75 ft^3

TRUMPED OF TRIUMP!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha, I actually enjoyed doing the essay Qs. That's weird. LOL I'm so confused on 24. It doesn't look like I would be able to aswer that Q. Sorry :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Awww.... :( Um... Can you do the ones we skipped? I can re-post them! :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Glad to help you^ IT was actually fun! :D

OpenStudy (rosedewittbukater):

Which specific problems do you need help with? Chipperjay answered some already.
