3/2 - 5/4 + 7/8 -9 /16 +11/32 - 13/64 ... HOW do you write the series in summation notation !!

WELCOME :D BB

Does anyone know how to solve this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

NOPE SORRY

OpenStudy (hunus):

The numerator in each of these is odd starting with 3 and the denominator is powers of 2 starting with 2^1 and the sign is alternating so it would be \[\sum_{n=0}^{\infty} \frac{(-1)^{n}(2n+3)}{2^{n+1}}\]

thnx!

OpenStudy (hunus):

Yup :)
