Find the mean and standard deviation of each data set. Round to the nearest hundredth

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here is 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you hve a scientific calc you can input this in a list and 1 vars stats it to find the mean median and mode

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont... can u do #1 for me?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i came up with a mean of 6

OpenStudy (amistre64):

do it FOR you? thats not really why we are here ....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

std deviation is 3.8062 good luck :)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the process is tediuos at best ... find the mean by adding up all the values, and dividing that by how many numbers there are this in turn can be used to find the standard deviation ... which in itself is a nightmare to do by hand subtract the mean from each value, and square the results, add up the squares, and divide by how may numbers there are (if its a population); OR divide by one less than that (if its a sample) then take the square root of that result for you standard deviation ...
