how can i find the area of track field?

Assuming the field is shaped like a rectangle with two semicircles on either end, multiply the length (100 meters on a standard track) by the width to get the area of the rectangle. It probably gave you the width on the problem, but we'll calculate it anyway. Were the two semicircles on the end put together into a circle, the circumference would be 200 meters. From that, we can conclude that the diameter is 200/Pi and so the radius is 100/Pi. The area of the rectangle, then, is 10,000 * Pi square meters and the area of the two semicircles = the area of the circle = (100/Pi)(100/Pi)(Pi) = 10,000 / Pi square meters. Anyway, use A = Pi * r^2 and A = L*W.
