FInd the amplitude of y=-2sinx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the amplitude is the number multiplying the sinx...... so what is that number??

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

should be an absolute value, just the number :|

geerky42 (geerky42):

The amplitude of sinx is 1 so the amplitude of -2sinx is 2. I believe it should be an absolute value.
