Which of the following is a soltution for 4m - 5 > -9 or 4m - 5 < 3? Answer m > -9 or m < 3 m > -1 or m < 1/2 All Real Numbers No Solution

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

4m - 5 > -9 when u solve for m what do you get @charlieberzak

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont really get the question

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

to solve for m, u have to isolate m. as u can see 5 has been subtracted from 4m. in order to remove it u have to add 5. if u add 5 to one side u have to add 5 to other side too. this wil give u 4m-5+5>-9+5 4m>-4 Bt still m is nt alone. 4 has been ,multiplied to it. to make m alone u have to divide by 4. if u divide by 4 one side u have to divide by 4 the other side too. this will give u 4m/4>-4/4 m>-1 getting it?
