During third three minutes at the rate of three liters per minute and so on. Find (a) After 50 minutes how deep the water is ? (b) How long it will take to fill the cylinder ?

OpenStudy (goformit100):

@asnaseer @noided

OpenStudy (anonymous):

one litre per minute I presume?

OpenStudy (goformit100):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

goformit

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in the first 3 minutes there's 3 litres, next 3 minutes there's 6 litres, then 9 litres, then 12... 50 can be seen as (3*16)+2

OpenStudy (goformit100):

ya what happen @DaWizjr Sir ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im younger than you but besides that (3x16)+2

OpenStudy (goformit100):

Thank you sir

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in these 16 parts you're gonna have: 3+2*3+3*3+4*3+...+16*3=408 we still have to account for the 2 extra minutes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in the extra 2 minutes the water flows at 17 litres/sec, so this is 34 litres total: 442 litres

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how big is the cilinder? that's quite important for question b)

OpenStudy (goformit100):

ok Thanks.

wtf man
