a $112.72 b $113.00 c $117.00 d $124.65

a

What makes you so positive?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.05x113=5.65 5.65+113=118.65 It's not A.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first you multiply 118.65 by 5% and you get 5.9325 then you subtract that from 118.65

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which one would it be? 118 isnt up there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it'd be B. What skinny is doing is finding 5% of the final price that already is taxed, which would only result in double taxation. It's a pretty tricky question like that.
