"Riding only two cars behind President John Kennedy, through the streets of Dallas, TX on November 22nd. 1963. Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson heard the shots that killed his commander in chief. Before that same day was over Johnson was flown upon air force one and assuming command of the presidency of the United States of America. The road to ratification from the 25th amendment has been long and has been tedious. The 25th amendment which deals with presidential chain and command in case of the death, resignation, or removal of the original president was noted in constitution under article 2, section 6, paragraph 1, but was so vague in description that it lead to confusion and misinterpretations."
