OpenStudy (gorv):

10 length of arc=36.8=(angle/360)*2*pi*r

OpenStudy (gorv):

angle=260

OpenStudy (gorv):

@Nerdy_3000

OpenStudy (nerdy_3000):

Do you divide anything to the other side

OpenStudy (gorv):

no it is the formula jst put the values and caculate r

OpenStudy (nerdy_3000):

Do you get 32.3- rounded answer

OpenStudy (nerdy_3000):

It just won't give me the answer looking for

OpenStudy (gorv):

wat ans u r not getting tell fast plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

OpenStudy (nerdy_3000):

The answer should be 8.1 and I kept on getting 32.3

OpenStudy (nerdy_3000):

Hello anybody please help??

OpenStudy (phi):

\[ \frac{260}{360}\cdot 2\pi\cdot r= 36.8\] we can simplify 260/360=13/18 \[ \frac{13}{18}\cdot 2\pi\cdot r= 36.8\] also, divide top and bottom by 2 on the left side \[ \frac{13}{\cancel{18}9}\cancel{2}\pi\cdot r= 36.8\] \[ \frac{13\pi}{9} r= 36.8\] multiply both sides by the inverse of the fraction ("flip it") \[ \frac{13\pi}{9} \cdot \frac{9}{13\pi} r= 36.8\cdot \frac{9}{13\pi} \] \[ r= \frac{36.8 \cdot 9}{13\pi} \] now get a calculator and find r = 8.1096

OpenStudy (nerdy_3000):

Thank you very much!

OpenStudy (nerdy_3000):

I completely understand it now
