y=2x^2 -3 y=3x-1 solve the system of equations

OpenStudy (phi):

did you try setting them equal to each other ? if both = y, then you can say 2x^2 -3 = 3x -1 put it into standard form \[ 2x^2 -3x -2 =0 \] now you have to factor this quadratic.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's all I had to do? I made too much work for myself

OpenStudy (phi):

after you find x, you find y. use y=3x-1 (the other equation also works but it is more work)
