jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

do you have a TI calculator?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have this.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

ok not sure if that has what we need, so we'll use wolfram alpha

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

the command we'll be using is the normalcdf command the basic outline of the function is this normalcdf(a,b,mu,sigma) where... a = left endpoint of area under curve b = right endpoint of area under curve mu = mean sigma = standard deviation

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

so in this case, we will type in normalcdf(3.3,20,3,0.245) into the search box of wolfram alpha to get this page http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=normalcdf%283.3%2C20%2C3%2C0.245%29 the answer you want is the in the last row (second column) in the "probabilities section"
