OpenStudy (mertsj):

We all are.

OpenStudy (jack1):

whats the question Denzel?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you smart with quadratics?

OpenStudy (jack1):

dunno, depends on the question? post away and if I cant there's bound to be someone online who is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Write the quadratic function in standard form. f(x) = - 1 2 (x - 1 3 )2 + 2 5

OpenStudy (jack1):

umm... sorry could u write that again...?

OpenStudy (jack1):

copy- paste doesnt always come out right on this, just type it in normally, use ^ for powers, we'll get what you mean

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Could you call mee?

OpenStudy (jack1):

ok, hazarding a guess, your equation was: f(x) = 12(x-13)^2 +25 ?

OpenStudy (jack1):

call you... from australia, are you kidding?

OpenStudy (jack1):

so the standard form of the equation is: \[y = ax ^{2} + bx + c\]

OpenStudy (jack1):

so first multiply out the brackets: (x-13)^2 =(x-13)(x-13) user FOIL to solve (first outer inner last) = x^2 -13x -13x +169

OpenStudy (jack1):

f(x) = 12(x^2 -13x -13x +169) +25 so the above is now your equation, can you multiply it out from here?
