For \[\Large ax^2+bx+c\] The graph opens up if a>0 (this will have a minimum), down if a<0 (this means it has a maximum) The vertex is found from \[\Large x=-\frac{ b }{ 2a }\]then you plug that into the equation to find y. To find x-intercepts, you have to factor the equation, or use the quadratic formula.
