This transformation is called "Translation". Just moving the points around in the coordinate plane. for a point A (x, y) the translated point A' will be ( x+a, y+b) where "a" and "b" are the translation given. If you move the point right or left it is the x coordinate that changes which corresponds to "a". If you move the point up or down it is the y coordinate that changes which corresponds to "b". Also if you move up or right it is positive y and x direction so "a" and "b" are positive. If you move down or left it is Negative y and x direction so "a" and "b" are negative.
